Diane E. Smith, D. O.

Dr. Diane E. Smith is a psychiatrist who provides medical evaluations and medication management to individuals (18 years of age and older) who have concerns in the areas of depression, mood instability, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, stress, sexuality concerns, drug and alcohol problems, personality problems, relationship issues and concerns of women.

A graduate of Ohio University of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987 she completed a general internship at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in 1988.  Dr. Smith then completed residency in Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University’s program at MetroHealth Medical Center.  She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

She is the Medical Director of both Dr. Diane E. Smith & Associates, Inc. and the Behavioral Health Unit at Massillon Community Hospital.  She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Psychiatric Association, Ohio Psychiatric Association, and the Greater Medical Society of Akron.

Joyce Shara, M.Ed., PC, RN

Joyce Shara is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a registered nurse that enjoys working with teens and adults of all ages.  Her interests include, but are not limited to, stress and anger management, mind/body connections, self-esteem issues, identity issues, depression, anxiety, and marital/relationship problems.  She prefers a holistic approach that utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques based on individual need.  Therapy is directed toward helping people live more productive and satisfying lives.

She spent many years coaching team sports for adolescent girls and has served as team trainer for the traveling softball team.  Joyce has experience working with college students at Baldwin-Wallace College as well as with the elderly in a variety of settings.  She enjoys helping people embrace the challenges associated with each stage of life.

Joyce received a BSN in Nursing and a M.Ed. in Community Counseling from Kent State University.  She is a member of the American and Ohio Counseling Associations and the American College Counseling Association.

Carol Clayman

Carol is the Office Manager and has experience in a variety of managerial positions including customer service, human resources, and employee training and development.  She has been married to the man of her dreams for 17 years and her blended family includes three daughters, two sons, and four grandchildren.

Carol’s interests include activities with her children and grandchildren, being outdoors, and cooking.
